Why work for us?
We offer competitive training and starting wages, flexible hours, extended health care benefits to employees working 28+ hours/week, a belief in a work/life balance, EAP benefits to all our staff, and CLSMA ‘Compass Training’ to train you fully in our agency’s philosophy around how we support people, the importance of language, relationships, planning services, and medication administration.
We are an agency supporting people with intellectual disabilities exclusively in their own homes, at all hours of the day and night. Be aware that Community Living St.Marys & Area delivers this service differently than other, more traditional organizations. People choose where and with whom they live, and our employees work hard to support them to connect to community, while challenging existing stereotypes around the people we support.
If all this sounds appealing, a career with us might be the right fit for you!
**CURRENT POSTINGS (click on individual posting to view details):
We also currently have a number of part time hours available. These include WEEKEND shifts (as well as the occasional weekday), as well as an opportunity to support someone overnights (two nights, every other week). This would be an excellent supplementary income to your full time job, or a way to start your Developmental Services Career.
Please email your cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org (please indicate which position to which you are applying).
Note: Because we are an agency that supports people, as outlined above, our employees often start with part time hours and ‘build up’ to a full time package, as more hours of support become available.
We thank all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE.
Current first aid/CPR/AED, Proof of Educational Qualifications, a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, valid Ontario ‘G’ license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance coverage is required for all employees.
In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act, 2005, CLSMA will make every effort to accommodate applicants with disabilities in its recruitment process.
Note: We keep unsolicited resumes on file for a minimum of 6 months, however, applicants are encouraged to re-apply to specific postings, as the are advertised.
