Job Postings

Why work for us?

We offer competitive training and starting wages, flexible hours, extended health care benefits to employees working 28+ hours/week, a belief in a work/life balance, EAP benefits to all our staff, and CLSMA ‘Compass Training’ to train you fully in our agency’s philosophy around how we support people, the importance of language, relationships, planning services, and medication administration.

We are an agency supporting people with intellectual disabilities exclusively in their own homes, at all hours of the day and night. Be aware that Community Living St.Marys & Area delivers this service differently than other, more traditional organizations.  People choose where and with whom they live, and our employees work hard to support them to connect to community, while challenging existing stereotypes around the people we support.

If all this sounds appealing, a career with us might be the right fit for you!

CURRENT POSTINGS (click on individual posting to view details):

  1. Relief and Part Time Support Workers-various shifts (ongoing)
We are currently looking for relief and part time workers for a variety of shifts to include weekdays, weekends, holidays, daytime and evening hours.  Work locations may include St.Marys and/or Stratford.

Applications to the above ongoing posting should be emailed to hrclsma@clstmarys.ca, and you need to quote the job positing title in your subject line. You must send a resume. An additional personal explanation of why you feel you would be a great match for the position will definitely get your resume to the top of the pile!  Some people call this a ‘cover letter’ but really we just want to know anything not covered in a traditional resume, so be creative, and use it as a chance to show your stuff. Because we support people on an individual basis, our support shift times are all over the map. It would be a really helpful first step if you could outline your work availability in your application.

Note: Because we are an agency that supports people, as outlined above, our employees often start with part time hours and ‘build up’ to a full time package, as more hours of support become available.

We thank all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Current first aid/CPR/AED, Proof of Educational Qualifications, a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, valid Ontario ‘G’ license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance coverage is required for all employees.

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act, 2005, CLSMA will make every effort to accommodate applicants with disabilities in its recruitment process.

Note: We keep unsolicited resumes on file for a minimum of 6 months, however, applicants are encouraged to re-apply to specific postings, as they are advertised.
